Why does Wildside Canine standardize a 3-4 week board and train when other companies offer a 2 week?

In order to be most successful dogs have a minimum long term memory retention time of 3 weeks of consistent training. Just like people in order to build a good habit it takes at least 21 days of daily work in order to enter long term memory. A 4 week standard board and train allows us to do this and with minimal correction and stress to your pet. Our program is based off of our country’s top dog training school, Top Tier k9 Academy based in Milton, Florida. Where our lead trainer/ owner, Autumn English has received her pet trainer certification as of August of 2024. Although we have offered a 2 week board and train with e-collar in the past, we want to be able to say that we are using the best and most humane approach; that is also easily transferable to the owners for long lasting effect. Which we have only seen be effective through a 4 week board and train program as it gives the dogs time to retain, rest and progress at a lower stress level. Unlike some two week board and train programs our four week program is as positive as possible and as corrective as necessary for each pet eliminating compulsion and setting a higher standard for balanced training!

• weekly in person meeting to help you as the owner track your dogs progress and to allow you to learn each concept as your dog learns it. Weekly meetings help the transition back into your home as you get the tools and training necessary to be successful.
