Puppy Lesson Packages
Starting training from a young age is the best way to set your dogs up for a life time of success. If possible, I highly encourage clients to start training their puppies as soon as they come home. This makes expectations clear and will save on money and work down the road. I love to see when puppies can mature into well balanced adults and we can help them get there by starting as early as possible.
Puppy Intro to Manners ( 4 lessons/ 8 weeks-16 weeks) $300
The puppy introduction to Manners package is going to be a personally tailored package directed towards puppies 2 months to 4 months. Puppies have a critical socialization period between the time of 8-16 weeks of age this is when they start to soak in the world as they experience new things. This means that getting our dogs out into the world early is the best way to set them up to be well balanced sociable adults. We will be working on the basics of shaping behaviors that we want to see again and adding in healthy boundaries and structure to set them up for success in the future. This package is going to also be going over the basics of puppy raising such as crate training, early socialization, potty training, marking and luring using reward. We will also be going over the best ways to get our pups out into the world teaching them early how to be neutral and calm around distractions. This is a great start to get a puppy moving in the right direction!
Puppy Introduction to obedience ( 4 lesson minimum ) Starting $300
This is a great next step after our puppy introduction to manners program! The minimum lesson package starts at 4 lessons as early as 16 weeks up to six months of age at that point you would move to adult lessons. Most dogs don’t fully mature until 1-3 years of age so until then it’s our job to set into practice everything we will need throughout our dogs life. This is the best next step in teaching our dogs what we expect from them as they come into adult hood. This package is flexible and you may request a quote on how many lessons would be good for you and your pup. This includes commands such as…
- come
-sit with implied stay
- heel
- down with implied stay
-place
-drop/leave it
-waiting at thresholds
-yes and no markers and reward systems
-corrections and negative markers
We can also include and teach any other commands you may be wanting. During this time we will be introducing leash pressure, accountability and tackling any undesired behaviors. We will also work on building duration, distance and distraction for all the commands we teach this way regardless of situation you can feel confident in your dogs abilities. I work a lot on handling techniques as well and focus on building the bond between you and your dog so that they not only love you but can trust you and count on you to be their leader.
